The End!

The fire danced to the tunes of hate;
rustic winds smelt of blood.
Venom in the water tasted sweet,
while the smiling death ruled the Earth.

Torn away by narrow thoughts,
the dim lit sky wept till dawn.
A little boy clutched his mom,
he was hungry, she was dying!

High above, some sat on golden stools.
The ones below, stole the stray dog's food.

Invisible wounds that caused the pain.
Invincible souls that never seemed to care.

A land where the sun never rises,
where rains burnt the skin of the helpless.
Every breath was closer to the end,
A land where 'Love' was long forgotten.

When all that is left is money,
and metal that cannot feed.
No food and no life --
only dusts of greedy pricks.

That is how the world will end,
for these puny little creatures,
on this pale blue dot!

A Random Fountain!

When the first word was born,
when the first thought was sewn,
when my fingers trembled to write,
I knew not, it would ever see the light.

The jotted lines blossomed into words.
Its fragrance spread - a trance filled state.
But,this unlikely trance shook them up,
every soul who breathed the scent.

Their eyes lit up , as darkness gave way.
They tasted from the fountain of knowledge,
one that all had seen ,but never known.
And as knowledge came,lingered, wisdom.

Some words are wise, some otherwise.
But certain I am of one-
Every word is a memory in a shell,
of fear, of love , of a life that has seen the sun set and rise.

Word is mightier than a sword,
I have heard them say.
Yet they go to war -for land and for riches,
not wanting to talk, only the sword!

"A poem begins in a delight and ends in wisdom"
said Robert Frost, drinking from his fountain.
As I read through the random words I wrote,
I see my delight , but where is the wisdom?
It's not a poem, I'm sure,...or is it?

Valentine

You were just a name,
to utter and then never to remember.
You were just a voice,
among the million chirps I had heard.

But then, your eyes wove their magic,
a sparkling spell ,a twinkling star!
I flew high,bright as sun.
I knew not why .Was it love?

The brittle smile ,the curly hairs,
the gentle touch and the curvy lips,
Oh! I wish no angels see you now,
For they would be mortified- their pride would die!

You walked past me, in a bright red tee.
I stood gazing at you, filled with a song I knew not which.
You did not see me, but I saw only you.

And then when my heart whispered your name,
you turned to meet my eyes,
Your lips broadened to a smile and I knew,
you are -My valentine,my life!

To Blossom

Crisp is the breath when thoughts smile wide, Other times, shallow and heavy - as the unknown besets. Panting in agony, like the young lost ...
